You’ve planned the event, the speaker is scheduled,
all is in place. Or is it?
At the last minute, your speaker cancels. The weather
has closed the airport; there’s an illness in the
family; an auto accident on the expressway. Anything
can happen, and often does. Your best-laid plans can
fall apart at the least opportune time.
You panic. "How do I get someone to fill in at the
last minute? If I can’t, I’m in big trouble!"
That’s where I come in.
I’m Richard Kent Matthews. I’m a professional speaker
and workshop/seminar leader. I’ve been doing this kind
of work for more than 14 years. I have presented
Sunday messages for churches, workshops for community
colleges, universities, and businesses as well as many
speaking engagements for local service clubs,
libraries, and other non-profit organizations.
Currently, I volunteer with the Oregon Food Bank’s
speaker’s bureau and have for the past several years
Now, I’m not asking you to book me for one of your
engagements. I am simply offering my services as a
back-up presenter/speaker/seminar facilitator in case
you or someone you know or work with experiences a
sudden emergency and needs assistance as quickly as
possible.
It’s a win-win offer. And your audiences will
appreciate it.
Thank you.
P.S. You may want to meet with me before deciding to
use my services. Please call or email me to set up a
time, at your convenience. Thanks again.
